Manipulate post view with MathEval

Hi all, I am trying to get the attributes of a merged background View in order to manipulate the values with MathEval but I can't find how to do it.

Assuming it works in python:

gmsh.merge('back.pos')
bg_field = gmsh.model.mesh.field.add("PostView")

How then, I could get x,y,z values of the post view to use them in MathEval?
