seamless ellipsoid?

To remove the seam, I inserted tried putting all surfaces into on Compound Surface
(see comment in the geo file above). Unfortunately, I'm getting
Error : The 1D mesh seems not to be forming a closed loop (4 boundary nodes are considered once)
Anything that can be done about this?
