GMSH Volume Creation Issue
Hi all,
Apologies for the post however I have tried for several weeks now to solve this issue to no avail and was wondering if you could lend me some insight into the issue I am having.
I have a simple airfoil geometry that I have imported from a .stp geometry file and thus have meshed using a transfinite structured approach. Note that I do not recombine the elements as I require them to remain as tri-elements rather than quadrilaterals. When I do this the volume mesh creation oscillates wildly during node insertion and does not converge. However, when I do recombine the surface elements the software has no problems meshing the volume.
I understand that there may be a higher level of skewness when using tri-elements due to the wing sweep however I have used this approach before with no issues on more complex aircraft geometries. Surface_Export.stp
Mesh.geo I have attached the mesh file and the relevant geometry. Many thanks for your help.
