Mesh for continuously deforming object inside channel
Hi, I am focusing on a problem in which a continuously deforming capsule moves through long channel. At each time step, the capsule changes its shape and also rotates around its own y or z axis (channel length is in x direction). The exact shape and location of capsule at each time step is known and it is in the form of .stl file. The channel does not move or deform. For any time step, I can successfully merge the corresponding .stl file of the capsule, create the different volumes for capsule and fluid surrounding the capsule, and generate good mesh.
However, the problem arises when I want to mesh the .stl file of next time step or the sequence of many stl files. It is important for me to have the same indexing of nodes, same number of nodes and elements inside the capsule for each time step. The values of such mesh parameters should not change with time or capsule shapes.
The capsule also enters and exits the channel's inlet and outlet periodically. Will the periodic mesh work for such scenario?
