gmsh boundary layer function
Hi,
I would like to mesh a boundary layer with structured grid using gmsh. My domain size is Lx=1, Ly=2, and Lz=1
I firstly mesh it with transfinite lines (see attached document) and it works but I do not succeed in keeping the first cell size to obtain y+=1 when refining the mesh.
For that reason, I tried to use the Boundarylayer function but I obtain strange behaviors (see pictures: if hfar=0.01 I obtain no monotonous cell size behavior and if hfar=0.05 the increase is monotonous but the maximum cell size is significantly bigger than 0.05). I think that the system is over constraint because I have to set the minimum and maximum cell sizes as well as the thickness and the ratio. Could you help me please to solve these issues ?
What I would like to obtain is a geometric progression in the y direction from 0 to 1.3 with a given and fixed size for the 1st cell then constant mesh size (equal to the last cell size in the boundary layer) from 1.3 to 2. I would like to obtain something that can be easily refined without modifying the first cell size that is why I think that the boundary layer function is more adapted than the transfinite line.
Thanks a lot,
