Sequence to refine a mesh
Was trying to create a simple sphere with more than 1 mil tet. What I can't understand - and this is also a general question - is what is the correct sequence to get the desired amount of tet maintainig a high quality mesh
Next the result of changing the max element size value may times and every time regenerating the 3D mesh (there is no surface mesh, just the 3d mesh)
This is instead the result get having from the beginning the "final" value of the max element size and thus generating just the first time the righ amount of tet
I was thinking re-generating the 3d mesh will simply substitute the old one with the new generated, this is not the case?
Also wanted to ask why being a simple sphere still with a single step there are such unregular meshing here and there, what am I missing to get an high quality mesh
Finally looking at the tutorial I discovered there is this Global mesh size factor, this is an alternative option to decrease the mesh unit size?
In the end I'm confused about the usage of thiese options
- refine mesh
- reduce max element size
- global mesh size factor
