Meshing issues with adjacent surfaces
Hi everyone!
I'm modeling an electron particle detector for the BEPICOLOMBO mission. It will be use after in SPIS (Spacecraft Plasma Interaction Software) to backtrack electrons.
The detector is cylindrical, with 16 entrances (or channels). The detector's box is divided in 4 parts at the bottom and at the top. But it is divided in 16 for the 16 channels. I use the built-in Kernel.
I guess my problem comes from here, the adjacent surfaces between the channels and the box (see electron detector 1D).
I used "Transfinite Curve" to coincide the nodes on each side of the surfaces (channel and boxes, see electron detector 2D) and it works fine.
But when I create the 3D mesh, it fails with the following error messages: "Error : PLC Error: A segment and a facet intersect at point", "Error : Invalid boundary mesh (segment-facet intersection) on surface 54, intersection (0.12177,-0.99277,-3.61663)" (see electron detector 3D mesh error)
Also used the transfinite Surface, but the same error shows up.
Any suggestion? It starts to drive me crazy. Here is my .geo file.
