Force gmsh to follow distance file.
Hi everyone,
First of all I want to apologize if the answer to my question is already posted but I have not been able to find anything that can help me.
I will try to explain my problem. I am trying to build a mesh for the Western Mediterranean with smaller triangle size near some places of interest and largest triangles in the other areas. It could be something like this:
So I have created a .geo file with the contour of the domain and the islands inside: Mediterraneo.geo
and I have created a file of distances: prueba.dat
and when I do the mesh I get a result with (almost) the same size of triangles everywhere:
I am not able to make gmsh to follow the distance file that I am giving.
So my questions are:
-
How can I make gmsh to follow the points that I am giving along the coastlines? It seems that it uses the points that it wants (generating new points) instead of following my coastline.
-
How can I force gmsh to use the distances provided in the background file? This issue is driving me crazy.
Thank you in advance for your time,
Ángel Amores.
