High-order edges in the interior
Hello;
Using Gmsh 4.2.2 on the Mac, I am having difficulty generating high-order meshes that are not only curved at the boundary but also in the interior. I have checked the archives and have come across the exact opposite problem by a user (where he was getting high-order interior edges but wanted linear!); so, I'm assuming this should be doable! I have checked the documents (perhaps not thoroughly enough) but have found nothing. The test problem is the following simple geometry setup:
Mesh.ElementOrder = 2; Mesh.SecondOrderLinear = 0; Point(1) = {0.5, 0, 0, 1.0}; Point(2) = {1, 0, 0, 1.0}; Line(1) = {1, 2}; Extrude {{0, 0, 1}, {0, 0, 0}, Pi/2} { Curve{1}; Layers{1}; Recombine; }
which generates the attached mesh. I used Layers{1} on purpose to exaggerate the problem, though it isn't too far off from the real cases I have in mind in future.
I would appreciate any help and pointers on this matter. Thanks in advance.
