Gmsh abaqus inp file bug (NSET, ELSET)
- In Gmsh, import or create a Geometry;
- Create a Physical Group on a Point;
- Create a Physical Group on a Curve;
- Create a Physical Group on a Surface;
- Mesh and export mesh as an inp file.
On the file you get something like this:
*ELSET,ELSET=POINT
1, 2, 3, ...
*ELSET,ELSET=CURVE
1, 2, 3, ...
*ELSET,ELSET=SURFACE
1, 2, 3, ...
*NSET,NSET=CURVE
1, 2, 3, ... (this will correctly show all nodes associated with the curve)
*NSET,NSET=SURFACE
1, 2, 3, ... (this will correctly show all nodes associated with the surface)
The problem is that the "*NSET,NSET=POINT" is missing, so you cannot export a Physical Group on a point to the abaqus inp file.
This bug really affects the ability to attribute boundary conditions to points.
EDIT:
A similar problem happens when exporting a Tochnog dat file, so maybe this problem is more general.
