Merge two surfaces to obtain a 3D mesh with a void inside
Hi, I'm a beginner with gmsh. I'm dealing with the 3D mesh of two surfaces exported from a 3D tomography. I want to use gmsh to mesh the space that stands between these two surfaces in order to obtain a meshed solid with a void inside (so mesh the interior of a surface and the exterior of the other that is inside the first one). The two surfaces are in .stl format. I used the command merge to create a single .stl of the two surfaces and then I created the volume to be meshed, but the result is that I don't have the void, but also a finer mesh inside the bulk. Any help to approach this problem? Best regards, Antonio
