Meshing a periodic domain with spheres
Hi I have a geometry that looks like the following:
I am interested in meshing the "blue" particles and not the red "voids". I generate the bounding cube (with appropriate affine translations to have matching opposite faces) and sequentially proceed to add the particles. Once I have done so, I take the boolean-interesection
of the particles and the cube (to essentially give me the particles inside the cube and remove the hanging portions). After this, I assign the corresponding physical
tags to the particles and I then take a boolean union of the bounding cube and the particles (call it union).
I then add all the pores. Finally I take a boolean-difference
of the union and the pores and proceed to mesh the obtained geometry. However, I get the error:
Error : Invalid boundary mesh (overlapping facets) on surface 25 surface 59
Error : No elements in volume 27 28
The ouput looks like this
Could anyone point to what could be going wrong here?
