Electrode on stl mesh
Dear community,
I'm trying to place round electrodes on a 3D closed surface (defined by an stl file), then use GMSH 3Dmesh function to feed an other software the resulting .mesh file. Electrodes are recognized if they are defined as physical groups. Is it possible to define a physical group on an stl mesh ? Or must it have an underling CAD entity ?
My first approch was to tests on a simple CAD model (Cube) with a unique electrode. I defined my electrode as the intersection of a cylinder and the cube using Booleanfragments and PhysicalSurface (I would like to use this method on the stl latter on the stl mesh). And then, I remove the surfaces and the volume of the cylinder (see .geo file in the attachment).
But GMSH meshs both the box and the electrode, how can I integrate the electrode to the Box ? (I would like that the mesh stop around the electrode) untitled.geo Thank you so much for your help. Vincent
