Gmsh - Abaqus
Dear all
I’m using Gmsh 4.4.1 and I encounter some issues when I convert the mesh from gmsh into an Abaqus inp file, although abaqus (version used 6.14-2) does not give any errors.
Here is what I do:
- I generate a 3D model composed by three volumes using a structured mesh, as seen in the attached Figure_1.
- I convert this mesh into an abaqus inp file. See Figure_2 to see the resulting mesh in Abaqus.
- I run Abaqus and realize that the model starts to deform as Volume 2 would not be part of the model. Please see the attached Figure_3, where you can recognize that there is penetration of the volume 2 mesh in the volume 3 mesh.
Is there a way to solve this problem?
In the attachment you will find, the figures, the gmsh file and the abaqus inp file.
Best Regards and thank you in advance for the help
