Unable to identify the reason for default faces and unconnected point in a 3d mesh after export to OpenFoam
Hello there,
I am currently working on a coordinate-points based e387 wing model, I have successfully created and run the mesh in 2D and just moved on to 3D. I simply extruded my airfoil(hollow), intermediate and farfield combined surface to a depth I called the Wing Span, then I further extrude the newly extruded surface to a longer depth. Based on the extruded airfoil lines from the first extrusion, I made a new face to close the airfoil at the wing tip and then extrude the surface to the same depth I extruded for the 2nd extrusion. The reason I went through these troubles is that Gmsh does not support 3D boundary layer so I have to extrude mine 2D boundary layer. It may be confusing to understand so I link my geo files for your convenience.
I created the mesh and everything looks fine in Gmsh, but when I convert the msh to foam format, there are errors saying " Could not match gmsh face 3(200771 204148 2450) to any of the interior or exterior faces that share the same 0th point", and it occurs for many points on the same face. I have attached my geo files that generate the 3d mesh, it would be awesome if someone can help me pinpoint the issue. Thank you
