Creation of geometry/mesh of ball subtracted from a 3D rectangular domain. Collaboration also wanted!
Hi everyone!
I'm also looking for general help, not just for GMSH geometry/meshing technical issues.
Thought I'd try here as you might be interested in my project (see below), as I thought there am a number of researchers involved in computational investigations.
Basically I'm looking at investigating the fluid dynamics of jet flow that hits a ball. The jet represents someone talking, while the ball represents someone else listening. As such this investigation will inform design innovation of Personal Protective Equipment.
We're aiming to allow everyone to pickup our findings (and methodology even) to encourage both: your own further innovation, and increased products on the market, via in part by making patenting of this work hard to do (using a pledging mechanism [1]). See www.github.com/TessellateDataScience/faceShieldOptimisations for our research agenda.
More details are attached to the geometry/mesh files I'm working on (https://github.com/TessellateDataScience/faceShieldOptimisations/tree/main/geometryMesh), if you feel like reaching out I'd be really grateful, as I believe were up against 'Big Pharma' and their massive financial backing, where they have demonstrated they deliberately stall innovation by using lots of patents to wall-out potential competitors. Their patenting practice doesn't seem very fair nor ethical, to me. Hope to see you (and your thoughts) soon. If not I'd really appreciate you pass these details onto someone else whom might be interested, Nick
