gmsh.exe aborts after combining boundarylayer and box fields
More specifically, as coded,
benchmarks/2d/naca12_2d.geo
loads with no problems and clicking on mesh 2D in the GUI results in a meaningful mesh
This is because there is no
Background Field = 3;
following
Field[3] = MinAniso; Field[3].FieldsList = {1, 2};
But as soon as you include
Background Field = 3; (or BoundaryLayer Field = 3;)
at the end of the code ( and even substitute Field[3] = Min; for Field[3] = MinAniso;), gmsh.exe aborts.
This indicates that you cannot combine the boundarylayer and box fields. Is it because
Field[n] = BoundaryLayer;
can only be associated with
BoundaryLayer Field = n
whereas
Field[n] = anything but BoundaryLayer;
can only be associated with
Background Field = n;
Which raises the question why was the code not written with
Background Field = n;
for
Field[n] = BoundaryLayer;
in the first place.
Have a nice end of weekend Marc
