cannot configure a new GMSH Visual Studio project using CMAKE
I am attempting to use CMAKE (Version 3.15.3) to set up a new Visual Studio project to compile and link GMSH. I am getting an error: "The Fortran compiler identification is unknown" "CMake error at CmakeLists.txt:504 (enable_language): No CMAKE_Fortran_COMPILER could be found".
For reference, I am using Visual Studio Enterprise 2019 Version 16.7.5 with Intel Fortran (Package ID:w_comp_lib_2020.1.216) on a 64 bit Dell desktop running Windows 10 Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.508)
The CMAKE file seems to want to find the LAPACK files in the same place as the INTEL MKL files. On my system, there are located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\compilers_and_libraries_2020.1.216\windows\mkl\lib\intel64_win. One of the libraries in that folder is: mkl_lapack95_lp64.lib. So, I think I have what the CMAKE file wants, but for some reason can't seem to find.
There is an environment variable called: IFORT_COMPILER20 that has the value: C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\compilers_and_libraries_2020.1.216\windows\ if that helps any.
Am I doing something wrong, or not properly supplying CMAKE with what it needs?
Is there something that I can do to get past this CMAKE error?
I apologize profusely in advance if I am making some noob mistake here.
Thanks in advance,
Bob Kiser
